The reason I draw is that I am overwhelmed by the power of cities around the world. Drawing cities allow me to immerse myself in my own fictional world, nencumbered by anyone else.

Hiro Horikoshi is a Tokyo-born artist known for his intricate, freehand pen-and-ink cityscapes. His work vividly captures the energy and complexity of urban life, drawing inspiration from cities around the world. Horikoshi’s artistic journey began during his studies at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York, where his detailed drawing of the Domino Sugar Factory gained attention from designers and art professionals. This pivotal experience marked the beginning of his exploration into cityscapes, a theme that has since become central to his work. Horikoshi's art has been exhibited internationally, including a solo exhibition titled N.Y. STATE OF MIND at NEPENTHES NY in NYC. His works continue to resonate with audiences, offering a unique perspective on the urban experience through his meticulously detailed and imaginative cityscapes.
